In summary, our data suggest that Ku80 expression level could predict the outcome and the sensitivity to cisplatin-based chemotherapy in patients with lung adenocarcima. Ku80 knockdown increases the sensitivity of cisplatin resistant human lung Wortmannin chemical structure adenocarcinoma cells to cisplatin in vitro. Therefore, Ku80 has the potential to serve as a biomarker for the prediction of cisplatin response and represent a promising target for the combination of cisplatin-based chemotherapy in patients with lung adenocarcinoma.
